The brief was to redesign the Big and Small Gym within the campus of the Winners Chapel International Dartford church, which we redesigned and transformed to the Youth and Teens church. We successfully obtained Planning permission for the proposal from Dartford Borough council.
We built the ceiling higher than usual buildings would have. There is an elevated platform with three circular stairs leading up to the podium. The podium is extended on both sides to accommodate other activities. Another set of staircases is at the rear end of the altar for easy movement. We used gypsum ceilings for the auditorium for aesthetic appeal, sound insulation, and fire resistance. There is recessed and LED indirect lighting on the ceiling for efficient lighting, as they are energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. We also added decorative panels and LED indirect lighting to the wall behind the podium for aesthetic purposes. We redesigned the lounge and workspace with a high work table and chair combination. The ceiling has LED indirect and recessed lighting and is supported by pillars. There is also a video wall in between a glass-covered book section and a shelf.
