We were engaged to carry out a change of use from an industrial warehouse to a place of religious worship F(1)f. PPDML worked to bring the design to reality. We came up with a new design, which required a lot of space management and compliance with Part B, Fire safety of the Building regulations. We also acted as Principal designers and the project was completed on time and budget within 12 weeks.
The building is now divided into compartments such as the electrical room, meeting room (up to 3), counting room, and storerooms, among others. We also changed the entrance door into a glass door fit for a place of worship. The flooring of the warehouse was made of concrete and a bit low for the project we were looking to transform it into, so we filled up the floor and made floor decking to cover it. The roof was nothing like a church’s roof. The roof was made with a single-panel roofing sheet with skylights. We had to change the roof structure and the ceiling to make the structure more fit for the church. Light fixtures were added to the ceiling, making it suitable for the worship center.
